Sanat Pandey joined Professor Choquette’s group in 2018 during his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering at UIUC. As an undergraduate member, he performed characterization (Quick VCSELs and Coherent Coupled VCSELs) and assisted in the fabrication. He served as the President of HKN-Alpha in 2020-21 and was the recipient of the 2020-21 John Bardeen Undergraduate Award and 2018-19, 2019-20 Prof. N. Narayana Rao Scholarship Award. He has worked at Siemens AG as an Electrical Engineering intern and at Micron as a Product Quality Assurance intern. After graduating in 2021, he joined as a graduate RA in the MS/PhD program at Illinois ECE.
